In 2008, Laura worked with New York based visual artist, Lesley Dill. Lesley conceived, along with composer Richard Mariott, an opera based on the language of Emily Dickinson that would be interpreted through a full choir, a string quartet, soloists performing in Lesley's amazing hand made costumes, and video projections. Working under the direction of multi-award winning Director-Writer-Producer, Ed Robbins, Ben Schellpfeffer and Laura developed 60 minutes worth of original motion graphics using Dickinson's language and Lesley's images as source material. The opera was performed at the Montalvo Arts Center (Saratoga, CA) in 2008. A single-channel film version, edited by Ed Robbins, screened in New York City at the Anthology Film Archives in 2009.
